About Daniel Rodriguez
Plastic artist. Poet. Master of composition and creative unlocking.
I was born in General San Martín, province of Buenos Aires and studied in various workshops with teachers and national artists where I first learned the bases of the abstract movement. As part of my training, I became interested in landscaping, color, drawing and composition techniques that helped me to investigate today, my own creation center. The biggest obstacle that I faced as an abstract artist is getting the viewer to identify with the work without any prejudice, or identification with any preconceived form.
My works over time are influenced by artists such as Jackson Pollock, Wassily Kandinsky, Juan Miró, Benito Quinquela Martín, Julio Le Parc, Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet, William Turner, among others. My own experimentation led me to learn about materials such as: latex, synthetic enamels, Oil, acrylic, watercolor, inks of all kinds allowing to perceive the paper as a support with rotring, brushes, crayons, graphite, chalk pastels and oil. The techniques that I use the most range from dripping on a frame to spatulating with oil, acrylic on any surface and / or support.
